Site5 is one of our favorite WordPress hosting companies.  Support is very responsive and helpful.  Servers are solid, fast, and configured well to run WordPress.  Additionally they have a wide range of hosting plans from shared hosting to cloud hosting to dedicated servers.

About 2 years ago Site5 changed management and the features and support really improved. The support staff is excellent, helpful and very knowledgeable.

Ability to host WordPress

Site5 is great place to host WordPress. Their servers are configured so that WP runs perfectly.  Site5 gets even better if you need to host multiple sites.

One of the best plans/features is the turbo option. This option allows you to give each site its own cPanel control panel. So no more stacking several sites into one public_html directory, which is a huge security improvement.

Server Speed and Uptime

The servers are all top of the line and continually being upgraded.  Over the past 5 years our Site5 server has probably been upgraded 3 to 4 times.  Each time with faster and more robust hardware.  We have always given us plenty of advanced notice and the upgrades have been very smooth.

We have also used cloud hosting with them with very good results, the price is a little higher for cloud hosting but well worth it if you have a mission critical website.

Customer Support

Site5's customer support is among the best in the business. When you submit a ticket and support helps you out, included in the email is a picture of the staff member that is helping you. This is a nice touch in my opinion.

You can contact support via email, online chat, and phone.  We typically contact them via chat or email.  With chat a technician will appear with in 1 to 2 minutes.  With email we will have a response to our question with in 15 to 30 minutes, sometimes even faster, it just depends on the question.

Support is always friendly, helpful and work to find a solution rather than place the burden back on the user.  If you have a problem with support or Site5 the owners are always willing to jump in to help get the issue resolved.  That is pretty good customer service.

Plans and Prices

Site5 has a wide range of plans and prices. Plans start at shared hosting and go all the way up to dedicated servers.  We feel Site5 really does well with the Cloud Hosting (Redundant) plans and the plans with multi-site hosting.  They have one of the best setups and control panels to manage multiple sites.

They are not one of the discount hosting companies that has dirt cheap prices and dirt poor service.  The prices are a little high 10% to 20% but the extra money spent is well worth it. What is your time worth and I am sure the time saved from not having to deal with an unhelpful hosting company is well worth it.
